Aging in Place
As we age, moving around our home may become difficult. Staying safe while aging in place is possible with the right information on products and modifications that are suited to your specific needs.
Creating a safe home environment may require the following home modifications to stay safe and independent at home: ramps, wheelchair accessible cabinets and sinks, widened doorways & grab bars, and updated lighting are the most common modifications recommended.
Fall Prevention
The primary benefit of home modifications is to provide more accessibility and safer living spaces within your home. Home modifications improve quality of life by reducing the risk of falls.
We will walk through your home with you, so that nothing is missed. We will watch you get out of bed, transfer from the couch, go up the stairs, and review anything else you are having trouble with.

As both an Occupational Therapist and Certified Aging in Place Specialist, Barbara has a deep understanding of how a well-adapted home environment can make all the difference in an individual’s ability to stay safe, comfortable, and independent. Barbara has extensive experience working with chronic conditions, balance and vision impairments, and mobility challenges, with a strong focus on fall prevention. She works closely with each client, tailoring solutions to meet their unique needs and ensuring they have the support they deserve.
